Becky owns and operates Prairie Girl Flowers – an ethical and sustainable flower business in Calgary. Using only locally grown, seasonal flowers, Becky is an outspoken advocate for changes to the floral industry. Eliminating single use plastics, such as floral foam, is an important part of making the industry more sustainable and ensuring that consumers’ choices don’t harm the planet. Becky is the Canadian Ambassador for the Sustainable Floristry Network and the Canadian liaison for Slow Flowers. She is currently working towards her Masters degree in Sustainability at Harvard University.
